N. RAVI SHANKAR – CEO

N Ravi Shankar is the CEO of Aim High Consulting. In a career spanning more than 23 years, Ravi has steered several leading Indian brands to success. Some of the clients that Aim High Consulting has had long and successful stints with include Flipkart, Ola, 3M, Helion Ventures, Lok Capital, EduSports, Azure Power, Open amongst many other new-age and technology-enabled businesses. As specialists in managing PR for start-ups, over the last fifteen years, Aim High Consulting has built a reputation of being the go-to PR agency for early-stage, as well as funded start-ups in India- including 18 Unicorns, 200 Categories and 500 Clients. Apart from PR, Aim High Consulting also has a flourishing Brand Consulting Practice. Under Ravi’s leadership, Aim High Consulting has won several awards across PR, Advertising and Internal Communication practices. Over the years, many industry bodies have recognised Aim High Consulting as the best in the business. Most notably, seven different industry associations have recognised Aim High Consulting as the ‘Best Communication Consulting Company / PR Agency of the Year’, in just the past five years.

 

An MBA, coupled with two PG Diplomas in Journalism and in Marketing, Ravi started his career at FCB-Ulka, Mumbai. He then went on to serve as Vice President – Strategy at brand-comm, a leading Public Relations, Brand Consulting, and Advertising organisation. He was responsible for building and driving the growth of its PR business, while also providing Strategic Counsel to his clients. Some of the clients that he has directed and serviced in the early part of his career include Future Group, MindTree, WebEx, APC, SANYO BPL, Oracle, Symphony, MetLife, Central Malls, Big Bazaar, E-Zone, Jupiter Capital, Columbia Asia Hospitals, Health Care Global (HCG), Skyline Constructions, Henkel-Loctite, Hippocampus, iDiscoveri, Café Coffee Day, Wipro, amongst many others.

 

Ravi has a deep passion for teaching and writing. He is a guest lecturer at leading Management and Communication institutions. He is also active on the public speaking circuit, especially in the areas of communication, entrepreneurship, new-age businesses, and PR for start-ups in India. Evangelising the importance of PR for new-age and technology-enabled businesses, he lectures at reputed conferences/seminars, entrepreneurial cells, and incubators/accelerators/start-up associations, on varied subjects that touch start-ups in India. His role as a Mentor at Stanford's Seed Spark Initiative, and as a Jury Member / Advisor at several Government and Private start-up initiatives, are worth mentioning. Ravi keenly mentors a few start-ups personally, and is an active Angel Investor.

 

With a penchant for the slice-of-life genre of writing, Ravi has been a popular columnist in Kannada. In the last two decades, he has over 1,200 published articles to his credit with leading dailies such as Vijayavani, Udayavani, Times of India (Kannada) and Usha Kirana. Ravi has authored six books (three under publication), while also currently writing ‘Olanota’, the Sunday lead-column for Vijayavani, the number one Kannada newspaper. His articles have been prescribed as part of Text Books, in leading Universities.
